This Week's Tribute to the Book Cover: TIGER ART

Of course, 2010 was the Year of the Tiger, yet book jackets featuring big cats in the title or in the cover art were abundant in 2011 too.  We've already announced our 2011 Track of the Cat Award winners, but here are some of our favorites from the last two years:

Book Cover Art of the Day: Cornell Woolrich's PHANTOM LADY

Unfortunately no credit is given for this excellent book art on the 1982 Ballantine Books edition.  Notice the fog in the lights, and the shadow at the near side or bottom of the picture.  And look how the author's name in red neon lights stands out.  Spendidly noir.
